The Furfande refuge was fully renovated in 2014.
This lovely, spanking new refuge has a dormitory and rooms to sleep 2, 3, 4 and 8 people.
The Furfande site is a real gem of the Queyras Regional Park. It is a must-do for anyone exploring the Queyras mountains.
At an elevation of 2,300 metres the chalet refuge stands at the crossroads between the Grande Traversée des Alpes, the Tour du Queyras and the Via Alpina trails. Furfande is a high mountain pasture which stretches across several hundred hectares of the south slope and overlooks the Guil gorge. From the refuge, the landscape opens directly to the south and the great summits of Font Sancte (3,385m), Mortice and Pic des Houerts. To the East, the impressive Tours de Croseras tower above the refuge at 2,700 metres.

Only on foot: North side via the GR58 trail from Arvieux (1,550m): 3 hours, or from Brunissard: 3 1/2 hours

The Furfande pastures make the ideal base from which to enjoy a number of hikes or even a training course over several days. Don’t hesitate to ask for advice.
From €48 to €60 per adult half-board.
As far as possible, we cook with organic products (bread, eggs, milk, pasta, rice, flour, etc.).
We also use fresh produce (vegetable soups), quality produce (red-label meat), and local products and specialities (cheeses and Queyras honey).
In the daytime, a food menu and drinks are available from 12pm, including some mountain specialities.
