By road : From Gap, it’s advisable to pass by Barcelonnette (possibility to hire mountain gear) on the D900 road. Take direction Col de Vars. When you arrive at Saint Paul sur Ubaye, drive through the village and up the valley until you reach Maljasset-Maurin (do not take the road over the stone bridge to Fouillouse). The hamlet is 13km from Saint Paul and there is a car park just before the hamlet.

The hamlet of Maljasset
Located deep in the Maurin Valley, at 1900 metres altitude, Maljasset is on the banks of the Ubaye River in a flat valley worn by glaciers long gone. The hamlet is a starting point for hiking, mountain biking, horse riding, snowshoeing or winter skiing (tour skiing). Maljasset offers a majestic setting and base for these activities; it is also a renowned stage of the Great Alpine Crossing and ski tours.
